Exploring Bastrop Getaway Weekend

Who knew the simple life was the life for me! I know it seems crazy I love the bars and the bright fun architecture and humans all around me. I’d trade it all in to live in a yurt like the one on The Reserve at Greenleaf. This is not an Ad!! I was looking for a getaway with my husband and choose this place. It’s magical, I felt like I was living the life of a fairy.

This yurt had a dome-like skylight view that fascinated me, adorable decor, AC and a bathtub. Before I forget to mention it, the shower had a view of the sky as well. So early morning cloud views while I was starting my day or starry night sky views! That of course was just the inside of the Yurt! (There was so much more in there but you should explore it for your damn self)

They have an amazingly huge hot tub and fire pit area outdoors that took my breath away while I was under the blanket of stars! They have smore kits in the Yurts so campfire stories and sweetness are a must! This getaway was just what I needed. Perfectly placed in the great outdoors, yet the harmony of a glamping situation.

While in Bastrop we headed to Copper Shot a whiskey distillery right on Main St. Copper Shot was packed with great cocktails and live music. Everything is made in house by their master distiller the barrels are all around you making the magic inside each one.

Right after leaving the Copper Shot we headed to Grace Miller a cozy restaurant nearby. This restaurant serves some scrumptious southern comfort. I am no fan of chicken fried steak however, I am now obsessed!

All in all the trip to Bastrop was the most magical experience i’ve had in a while. I cannot wait to go back I hope y’all enjoy Bastrop and The Reserve at Greenleaf
