EAST AUSTIN HOTEL or PALM SPRINGS ?

The funny thing about Austin is that there are tons of tourists and let’s face it tons of Californian adventurers. Now, no one cares we love everyone here in Austin, well some of us lol.The East Austin Hotel makes me feel like I’m in Palm Springs, which is one of my favorite places on earth! EAH has not one but three restaurant bar areas! Something for everyone and every occasion. So let me get to the nitty-gritty about EAH.

Sixth & Waller

This vibrant pink and muted yellow establishment serves up breakfast all day. Along with some delicious lunch and dinner options as well. The Breakfast Bun and Queso Benedict are some of the tastiest on the menu. They also serve up drip coffee and a refreshing cup of OJ with the best ice chips! Be sure to stop in and have a meal or three this place doesn’t just feed your taste buds it feeds the soul with the ambiance. I would best describe this as an upscale hip diner!

The Upside Rooftop Bar

Located one level up from Sixth & Waller, The Upside Rooftop Bar is a cocktail experience. The Bar is decorated to the nines, screams of Moroccan inspiration mixed with a 70s twist. This Bar is perfect for date nights or drinks with friends. Sip on a Bourbon Special or local drafts and enjoy the scenery of the east side. People watching from here would be ideal if you enjoy that! They also have a food menu which I didn’t get to try as I was on a liquid diet, so I’m useless.

The Pool Bar

The wonderful thing about The Pool Bar at EAH is that it's completely separated from the pool. So if you decide to hang out by the bar you're not drenched by water splashes. With that being said the pool is the place to be, drinks get delivered straight to you so there is no skipping a beat. Also, the food here is amazing from the mushroom burger to the fries and the hummus. Order it all, we did. 

East Austin Hotel is young in age but soulful and alluring. There is always something going on. Either a dance classes on the roof top, pool parties, sponsored events, bachelorette parties. East Austin Hotel has it going on, so whenever you decide to visit you'll have a great time!
